The PaprikaNL growers choose the qualitatively best strains from existing and new strains so that they can comply with their customers requirements. The taste, shape, colour and shelf life are taken into account when the strains are chosen.
Food safety is safeguarded by biological crop protection starting from the cultivation of the base material onwards. This also applies to sorting and packaging and this is done with the most possible control. The PaprikaNL growers are either Global GAP or UK Standard certified for this. Growers are certified for specific market segments in accordance with the retailer's standards.
The peppers are mechanically sorted by weight and diameter and also by quality. Other uses will be found for peppers of inferior quality or shape. When the peppers have been packaged at the production location they are picked up and transported to the customer or the distribution centre. The peppers from the PaprikaNL growers are taken to their destination from the distribution centre as quickly as possible as PaprikaNL aims to deliver fresh daily products.
