The Growers
The PaprikaNL growers are selected growers who have proven that they can guarantee their customers' quality requirements. PaprikaNL is a cooperative society and was founded in January 2010 to comply even more with the requirements of their customers. 85% of the pepper growers (plusthe acreage) in FresQ FreshConneQt have joined together in PaprikaNL.
Quality and food safety is a stipulation at PaprikaNL, not an extra. The peppers from PaprikaNL are grown biologically, cleanly and with the maximum care in accordance with the highest standards of quality applying in Europe. Some PaprikaNL growers have been involved since the first initiatives in this field in 1990: the so-called "clean sheds project".
The PaprikaNL growers grow sustainable peppers in about 294 hectares of the most modern glasshouses. This is 25 percent of the total Dutch pepper acreage.
PaprikaNL grows the following pepper strains: Cupra, Spider, Friendly, Ferrari, Chelsea, Derby, Inzell, Stayer, Sopra, Morraine, Oranje Glory, Fantasy and Ramiro.
